DESTINATION - EZHUPUNNA

Ezhupunna is a village in Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala. This is also the homeland of the famous Ezhupunna Parayil Tharakan Family. It lies between Alappuzha and Kochi, on National Highway 47. It is at a distance of 23 km from Kochi. There is also a railway station, where only passenger trains halt. Though there is no human settlement within the confines of the reserve, there are numerous villages around the area. The place holds its charm for the intriguing mix of fauna and flora, that are characteristic of it.
